Privacy Policy

NEWZZLE Mall values users’ personal information and explains what information is collected, how it is used, how long it is retained, how it may be shared or entrusted, and what rights users have.

This English version is provided for user convenience. If there is any discrepancy between this translation and the Korean version, the Korean version shall prevail.

1. Personal Information Collected and Collection Methods

The Company may collect the following personal information for membership registration, customer support, order and payment processing, and service provision.

  • When registering: name, ID, password, email address, and mobile phone number
  • When ordering and paying: purchaser and recipient information such as name, mobile phone number, shipping address, and payment information such as credit card information, bank account information, and simple payment authentication information
  • Automatically generated information during service use: IP address, cookies, access date and time, service usage records, and records of improper use
  • Collection methods: website registration and ordering, customer support boards, event participation, and customer inquiries

2. Purpose of Processing Personal Information

The Company processes collected personal information for the following purposes. Personal information will not be used for purposes other than those stated below unless separate consent is obtained or other necessary measures are taken.

  • Customer management: identity verification, user identification, prevention of unauthorized use, confirmation of registration intent, and delivery of notices
  • Service provision and payment: product delivery, service provision, billing, financial transaction authentication, and payment processing
  • Marketing and advertising: when optional consent is provided, development of new services or products, customized services, event information, and promotional information

3. Retention and Use Period

The Company processes and retains personal information within the retention and use period required by law or agreed upon when collecting personal information. Where retention is required by applicable law, information may be retained for the periods below.

  • Records on contracts or withdrawal of subscription: 5 years
  • Records on payment and supply of goods: 5 years
  • Records on consumer complaints or dispute handling: 3 years
  • Website access logs: 3 months

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

In principle, the Company does not provide users’ personal information to external parties, except in the following cases.

  • When the user has given prior consent
  • When required by law or requested by an investigative agency according to procedures and methods prescribed by law
  • When minimum necessary provision is required for delivery, payment, or compliance with legal obligations

5. Entrustment of Personal Information Processing

The Company may entrust personal information processing to external service providers to provide smooth services. The Company requires necessary safeguards under applicable laws through entrustment agreements.

6. User and Legal Representative Rights

Users may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of their personal information at any time.

  • Requests may be submitted in writing, by email, or through other available methods, and the Company will respond without delay.
  • If a user requests correction or deletion of incorrect personal information, the Company will not use or provide the information until the correction or deletion is completed.

7. Destruction Procedure and Method

When personal information becomes unnecessary due to expiration of the retention period or achievement of the processing purpose, the Company will destroy the information without delay.

  • Procedure: information entered by users is moved to a separate database or document archive after the purpose is achieved and then destroyed immediately or after being stored for a certain period according to internal policies and applicable laws.
  • Method: electronic files are deleted using technical methods that prevent restoration, and paper documents are shredded or incinerated.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies from the effective date. If additions, deletions, or corrections are made due to changes in laws or policies, the Company will provide notice through announcements at least seven days before the changes take effect.
